July 6, 2004Unitalen Attorney Robert Li Interviewed by China Central Television(CCTV)
On July 5 Unitalen attorney Robert Li was interviewed by CCTV News Center journalist concerning his defending of Chinese trademarks which have been registered abroad in bad faith. Drawing upon his long experience in international intellectual property rights protection, Robert Li made a detailed presentation of recently established famous domestic trademarks and the problems in their registration abroad. According to him, due to domestic neglect for corporate trademark protection and relatively high costs of rights protection abroad, where a trademark encounters registration seizure in another country, most companies fail to take stringent measures, which causes loss of the brand name value.
In his capacity of an intellectual property rights expert, Robert Li hopes, through using the media propagation function, to strengthen companies’ sense of trademark protection to more effectively protect freedom in intellectual property rights.
The interview was broadcasted in the CCTV news program on July 6.
